Sewing ADD?

Publish On 2008-08-31 , 8:48 PM

A couple of weeks ago I was teaching a beginning sewing class and afterward we were all looking at some of my sewing and knitting projects.  I had a really pretty knit shirt, sleeves not yet sewn in; the front half a cotton sweater knitted; a felted purse awaiting the hand felted detail; another half-knitted purse; and at least three more projects in various stages of completion.  One student asked, "Doesn't it bother you to have so many things going at once?"  Uh, no.  It doesn't!  Sewing ADD?  I've never thought so.   I thought it was normal!  So I ask you, fellow stitchers, do you finish every project you start in the order you started it?  This doesn't count for garments you are commissioned to make.  We have to get those done!  I'm talking about little fun projects you might begin just to try something out or maybe something you bought on impulse and later grew to loathe....another topic all together?  Bare your stash souls and be honest.  I'm quite curious now!  BTW, shamed into finishing the shirt and purse---here are some pics.
